Prayer: The Extraordinary Invitation You Are Invited… to a Life of Prayer

delivered by

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place.
When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’”

Luke 11:1-4
New International Version (NIV)

“Our prayers lay the track down on which God’s power can come. Like a mighty locomotive, his power is irresistible, but it cannot reach us without rails.” – Watchman Nee

“God does nothing except in response to believing prayer.” -John Wesley

“I have so much to do today that I shall have to spend the first
3 hours in prayer.” -Martin Luther

Lord, teach us to pray

Prayer is relating to God for the sake of
His Kingdom and His good purposes in our lives

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name

Your kingdom come, Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those
who sin against us

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
