John 8:31-32 (New International Version)
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said,
“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.
Lies = Distrust // Truth = Trust
Commandment #9:
Ex. 20:16 (NIV)
“You shall not bear false testimony against your neighbor.”
John 4:1-4 (NIV)
Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You believe in God; believe in me also.
My Father’s house has many rooms; if it were not so,
would I have told you that I am going there to prepare
a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me
that you also may be where I am.
You know the place where I am going
John 14:5 (NIV)
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where
you are going, so how can we know the way?”
John 14:6-7 (NIV)
Jesus answered,
“I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.
From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
Matthew 1:18-19 (NIV)
This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about:
His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph,
but before they came together, she was found to be
pregnant through the Holy Spirit.
Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law,
and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace,
he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
Matthew 1:20-23- (NIV)
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord
appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David,
do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife,
because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the
name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said
through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth
to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”
(which means “God with us”).
Matthew 1: 24-25 (NIV)
When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel
of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home
as his wife. But he did not consummate their marriage
until she gave birth to a son.
And he gave him the name Jesus.
