Romans 3:23 (NIV)

LOVE
The act(s) of extending yourself for others by identifying and meeting their legitimate needs and seeking their greatest good and welfare.
James C. Hunter
Agape love is the unconditional love that God has for everyone. It is unconditional in that is does not love some and not others
That means God loves the most despicable person you can think of to the best and everyone in between. It is poured out to ALL without exception, condition, or price.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 John 4:19
God is love
1 John 4:8 (NIV)
Jesus is patient, Jesus is kind. Jesus does not envy, Jesus does not boast, Jesus is not proud. Jesus does not dishonor others, Jesus is not self-seeking, Jesus is not easily angered, Jesus keeps no record of wrongs. Jesus does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Jesus always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:8
Love never fails.
LOVE
The act(s) of extending yourself for others by [prayerfully seeking God to] identify and meet their legitimate needs [according to God’s heart] and seeking their greatest good and welfare.
Lori’s modified version of James C. Hunters definition
Are we going to allow God’s love to work through us? To love those in our lives by extending ourselves for others by prayerfully seeking to meet their legitimate needs according to God’s heart and seeking their greatest good and welfare? Are we willing to do that? Even to those in our life who are difficult to love?
How are you going to measure your love?
