Faith Living It

delivered by

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 New King James Version (NKJV)

I the Lord do not change.

Malachi 3:6

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today
and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here
to there,’ and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 17:20 New International Version (NIV)

What Does It Mean to Live by Faith? – Antioch Church in Georgetown, Texas

1- Living by faith means that we’re confident
God is good, as we live by faith on a daily basis,
no matter what.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 (NIV)

2- Living by faith means that we’re confident
God is in control.

The disciples went and woke him, saying,
“Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you
so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the
waves obey him!”

Matthew 8:25-27 (NIV)

“New Morning Mercies” –
Paul David Tripp

What causes you to wish life was easier or at least a bit more predictable? If you could change a couple of things in your life right now, what would they be? Where does it feel to you as if you’re on an amusement park ride that you never intended to be on?

3- Living by faith means that we’re confident God
knows best. It’s one thing to know that God is good and God is in control, but it goes a step further
to believe that God knows best.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

4- Living by faith means we’re confident God answers prayer. It means we aren’t afraid to ask God for things, to talk to Him on behalf of others and ourselves.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever
we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)

Yahweh – I am who I am;  I will be who I will be.
