JESUS Hailed // Nailed

delivered by

Matthew 21:9-11 (NIV)
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!”
When Jesus entered Jerusalem,
the whole city was stirred and asked,
“Who is this?”
The crowds answered,
“This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Luke 19: 46-48 (NLT)
He said to them, “The Scriptures declare,
‘My Temple will be a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it
into a den of thieves.” After that, he taught daily in the Temple,
but the leading priests, the teachers of religious law,
and the other leaders of the people began planning how to kill him.
But they could think of nothing, because all the people
hung on every word he said.

Luke 20: 19 (NIV)
The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way
to arrest him immediately, because they knew he had spoken
this parable against them. But they were afraid of the people.
Matthew 26: 14-16 (NIV)
Then one of the Twelve – the one called Judas Iscariot –
went to the chief priests and asked,
“What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?”
So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver.
From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.

“He saved others, but he can’t save himself.”
Matthew 27:42
