Recipe for Life

delivered by

“Faith without deeds is dead”

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”

Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours: Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.

2 Peter 1: 1-8 New International Version [NIV]

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:1[NIV]

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that those who believed in him would not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 [NIV]

“Why do you call me good?”
Jesus answered. “No one is good —except God alone.”

Mark 10:18 [NIV]

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6 [NIV]

Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.

Proverbs 16:32 [NIV]

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

John 15:13 [NIV]

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

1 John 4: 20-21 [NIV]

For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
Therefore, my brothers, and sisters. make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1: 8-11 [NIV]

1- Keeps you close to Christ and the knowledge and wisdom He gives you to make wise decisions
2- Keeps you thinking externally and not internally (temporary)
3- Keeps your eyes open for Gods purpose and plans
4- You will Never stumble
5- Rich welcome into God’s arms
