HASHTAG- a social media link created by placing the pound sign (#) in front of a word of phrase. Also used simply for emphasis, focus, and/or humor.

FOMO- Anxiety that an exciting or interesting event may currently be happening elsewhere, often aroused by posts seen on a social media website.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat from the trees in the garden, but God did say, “You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

What more could Eve and Adam want?……Who could refuse the irresistible chance to become godlike with just one bite? – Tony Reinke, “The Only FOMO is Fear,” desiringGod.org

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 (New International Version (NIV)

MEMO- Making Each Moment Outstanding

If we constantly compare what we are doing with what others are doing, we become a “comparison addict.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble on its own.

Matthew 6:34

Rather than take moments for granted, we must take them with gratitude.

If you’re not fully engaged with whatever you’re currently doing, you’ll always experience subpar and diluted results, relationships, and outcomes. Wherever you are — be there. – Anthony Moore

Not being present in the moment dilutes everything we do.
